Welcome to first grade!
The first-grade teachers are so excited for the new school year!
You will meet new friends and have many new learning experiences. In math, we will be doing adding and subtracting, and telling time. In language arts, we will read many fun stories, work on phonics skills, and practice our writing skills. In science, we will learn about plants and animals, space, weather, and more!
You will also get to participate in athletics and music.
We hope you enjoy the rest of your summer. We look forward to meeting you and hearing all about it when we get back to school!

We hope you had a wonderful summer! School is just around the corner, and we are so excited to meet you! We are so happy that you decided to come to Athlos Academy and be in our classes! We will be learning lots of interesting things in second grade!
Do you love reading about Dog Man, bad guys, or fairy tales? Or maybe nonfiction shark books are your thing?! No worries, we have got you covered! Have you ever counted to 1,000? Have you ever wondered about the animal life cycle? Maybe you’ve thought about doing some research on different animals? Or the rights and responsibilities of American Citizens? We are so excited to learn about all these interesting things, and we hope you are, too! Our classrooms are ready and waiting- all that’s missing is you!
