SUMMARY:The Griffin Gallop Jog-a-thon
DESCRIPTION:This event is our big fundraiser for the school year! \nIn the past\, we have used the money to purchase equipment for athletic movement class\, and AED\, pedometers\, etc. With the funds\, we also hope to install sound panels in the gym and take students on field trips. Students will be jogging or walking as many laps as they can during their athletic movement time which can be found in the table below. Parent\, staff\, and student volunteers will help tally how many laps each student completes. Parents are encouraged to volunteer for the event and walk and run with their children (click here to sign up and volunteer). \n  \nStudents are encouraged to find family\, friends\, or neighbors to “sponsor” them for this event (sponsors are not required\, all students will participate). Water will be provided. Students at Athlos learn to think critically\, build essential character traits for success and develop lifelong healthy body habits. DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again! Get ready for our annual Athlos Academy Food Drive in a rally between grades to donate the most canned and dried food items for the Utah Food Bank!\nCans and non-perishable food donations such as peanut butter\, mac & cheese\, chili\, canned fruits\, canned vegetables\, and other boxed meals will be collected in classrooms and go to the Utah Food Bank. \nGoal: To reach over 5\,000 lbs of canned food! \nStudent Rewards: \n\nIf the goal is reached\, admin will dye their hair an unnatural color!\nThe winning grade will receive a pizza party!\nThe winning class will receive a popcorn and movie day!
