DESCRIPTION:Experience math like Athlos students do!\nMath Night is a great way to see and experience what math is like for Athlos students. As a school\, we will use the central idea of a quilt to display how math progresses through the grades\, including the concepts of area\, geometric shapes\, patterns\, diameter\, perimeter\, etc. Aspects of our Bridges K-5 program and CPM Educational Program for middle school will also be presented by grade level teachers. Finally\, we will state math testing and the computer math programs Athlos uses. Each family will receive a raffle ticket to win an amazing handmade quilt! \nMath Night will be held in the cafeteria and the two computer labs on the North side of the building.

SUMMARY:Halloween Parade
DESCRIPTION:There will be a K-5 costume parade starting at 8:45 a.m. \nEveryone is encouraged to come to school in his/her costume ready for the parade. Students are allowed to stay in costume for the day\, but must have athletic shoes so they can participate in some Halloween games! \nParents will line up along the back field inside the fence line facing towards the school. Parents will enter through the playground gates\, not through the school doors.  For the safety of our students\, parents will not be allowed to line up inside the school. Students will begin parading inside the school at 8:45 a.m. The start of the parade will exit out the north doors at the back of the school. The route will continue along the field/fence line allowing parents to see everyone. The front of the parade will re-enter the school on the south side. Only students and staff will be allowed to enter these doors. \nPlease be mindful of where you park. Parking may be limited due to the number of parade spectators. Parking will be allowed in the Driveline but NOT in the fire lane. We encourage you to carpool or walk\, whenever possible. \nParents are welcome to dress up\, but we ask that they not wear a mask. Students may only have masks on during the parade if they are not too vulgar\, violent\, or frightening. Weapons or any facsimile are strictly forbidden. \nPM Kindergarten is welcome to attend in the morning\, as there isn’t a PM parade.
